Architecture

Every SCADA project has unique requirements. These requirements can change as time passes. The Hyper SCADA Server offers the user flexibility and accommodates growth. Whether implementing a small system, or a highly complex, multi-client, multi-site SCADA System, the Hyper SCADA Server will accommodate your needs. This flexibility allows you to meet your current needs, and is easily expandable as the SCADA requirements grow. The Hyper SCADA Server supports up to four independent radio frequencies, 2,020 Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), and several communication protocols.

The Hyper SCADA Server is designed with a fully distributed Client/Server Architecture, for maximum processing power. The Hyper SCADA Server retrieves remote I/O information through a continuous global polling routine from Remote Terminal Units connected to the system by means of Ethernet and/or Radio. The Hyper SCADA Server maintains a centralized real-time and historical database and provides the information to clients accessing the system. Any client PC needing to access the system simply requires a Windows XP or Vista OS and Microsoft's Internet Explorer Browser.

Since the Hyper SCADA Server is housed in a locked enclosure, every human interface with the system is accomplished through a client PC properly set-up to access the system. A client's permissions are dictated at the password level, ranging from view-only mode to system administrator. Below is a simplified diagram of a typical SCADA System using the Hyper SCADA Server.
